Today is a snow day in Chilliwack. Schools are closed as as the snow continues to fall, covering the landscape and the flower buds that had recently emerged from the earth with a layer of fluffy flakes.

All of us had assumed the buds were an obvious early sign of spring. Were we ever wrong.

But Chilliwack is no stranger to heavy snowfalls. Over the decades our community has had to dig themselves out from the fluffy flakes.

In today's blog I will highlight a few examples.
